For anyone unfamiliar with the 2019 Novel Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, it is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus strain. Older adults and people who have severe underlying medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness.
Due to the global infection rate, and the serious respiratory complications associated with COVID-19, governments and private organizations around the world have spent billions of dollars and countless hours investigating possible treatments and vaccines. As such, the team at Dwell CBD has been closely following the science associated with recent studies being conducted on CBD and other hemp-derived cannabinoids for possible impact on COVID-19.
An article published by the Chicago Tribune very specifically cites peer-reviewed science, published by the National Institute of Health (NIH) – along with PUB-MED with regard to the anti-inflammatory properties of CBD and the possible impact of this attribute for respiratory inflammation directly associated with Coronavirus.
Because this topic is very important and there are some groups making unsubstantiated claims regarding treatments and cures, we are simply going to direct our clients to the published science and allow you to formulate your own opinions.
In the meantime, Dwell CBD will continue to do our best to offer information and commentary on actual science being published involving CBD and other legal, hemp-derived cannabinoids.
