Science of CBD

Our Culture

Kentucky farmers have been at the forefront of hemp agriculture and production for generations. At Dwell CBD, our focus is to educate and serve our communities, which includes the farmers and the people who grow our hemp.

Dwell CBD™ operates under the Kentucky Department of Agriculture in association with producers and farmers who operate within section 7606 of the U.S. Farm Bill and the laws of the State of Kentucky

Our culture is as simple and pure as the process we implement for our products.  Clean, honest and dedicated team members will continue to be the face of Dwell CBD™ - because they are your friends, neighbors and family, they are the people you know and trust, they are the people who care about your health and wellness for life.

Welcome to the family!

Our Science

Quality and trust are at the forefront of our mission.  Dwell CBD™ has a team of in-house scientists, geneticists, and botanists, as well as innovative partnerships with Kentucky state universities. We lead the industry in innovations such as the Root System Greenhouse™, which reduces water and enables soil health as a result of applied biologicals.

In addition to deploying scientific advancements to the growing process, Dwell CBD™ focuses on applying scientific diligence throughout the production process.  This culminates in all of our products being tested by leading third party laboratories to ensure safety and quality.

Our Production & Formulation Systems

The pillars of Dwell CBD success are three {3} essential and fundamental things;

Purity: To virtually eliminate post-harvest mold and other pathogens, and to lock in our unique farm-to-table freshness, Dwell CBD™ is working to support a recently developed a proprietary drying technology.  Quality and trust are at the forefront of our mission.  Dwell CBD™ has partnered with a team of scientists, geneticists, and botanists, as well as innovative partnerships toward advancing innovations such to reducing water and enabling soil health.

Science:  Dwell CBD™ leads the industry in innovations such as the reduction of water usage and energy inputs, and enables maximum soil health and rejuvenation for sustainability as a result of applied biologicals, nutrients, and balanced environmental controls.

Processing:  There are a wide range of options to be aware of, for example, chemical processing involves either butane or ethanol and may have contamination issues and most certainly flavor conflicts.  The most common method is CO2 extraction, which is both expensive and highly technical.  CO2 extraction is becoming the standard for small-medium processors and will continue to be studied for its impact on the environment and consumer.  Finally, is super-critical extraction, or super-extraction, which is only being done by a handful of companies around the world.  Products produced by this method are among the purest and most potent on the market.

Our Compliance

Hemp is required by law to be very low in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and is the non-psychotropic version of cannabis with superfood status.  In 2003, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services wrote patents on some of the cannabinoid molecules found in hemp, referring to them as “antioxidants and neuroprotectants.”

Recently, hemp oils high in cannabinoids such as cannabidiol (CBD) have gained fame due to the amazing evidence of their miraculous neuroprotective impact on little Charlotte Figi’s life – displayed to the world by CNN and sold under the Charlotte’s Web brand.  Now, millions of people around the world realize that these neuroprotective, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory benefits extend to a variety of health applications, including neurological issues like mild anxiety, pain from exercise-induced inflammation, and dozens of more significant issues.

Many Americans are confused over the legality of hemp because it is not available for general farming like corn or soybeans. Until 2014, only imported hemp was legal in the U.S. according to federal law.  Thus, America is the largest importer of hemp products in the world, mostly from China, Canada and Europe.  Dwell CBD™ and our production partners are among the most widely certificated and highly respected organizations in the United States.  Our customers deserve the best quality and they expect our purity to be the benchmark of the industry.

Because it is.
